Self Defense ​

In Ripto, due to its nature, you may encounter spammers or bullies. But don't worry! We have plenty of features to protect you from them.

Mute ​

You can mute notifications from specific users. Even if you receive messages from muted users, you won't hear any notification sounds.

To do this on the web version, open the sidebar, select the user, and click the "Mute" button.

If you want to mute system messages, you can go to the top-right menu and select "NOTIFICATION" => "mute system".

Block ​

You also have the option to block users. Blocked users' messages will not be displayed, and your messages will not reach them.

To block a user on the web version, open the sidebar, select the user, and click the "Block" button.

Note: When you block a user, encrypted messages are not generated for the blocked user. Therefore, the blocked user cannot read your messages under any circumstances. You will not receive any notification sounds or see messages on your screen from the blocked user.

Lock ​

To prevent unauthorized members from entering your room, you can lock the room. Open the right-side menu and and select "ROOM" => "LOCK". The room will be locked for 15 minutes.

While the room is locked, no one can join the room.
